Comcare is an agency of the Australian Government.
Comcare is part of the Minister of Employment and Workplace Relations, Senator the Hon Murray Watt's portfolio.
Comcare’s Acting Chief Executive Officer is Michael Duke.
Our organisation is structured into 6 groups:
- Claims Management Group - General Manager, Lachlan Vivian-Taylor
- Corporate Group - Chief Operating Officer, Leanne Blackley
- Legal Group - General Manager, Louise Close
- Regulatory Operations Group - General Manager, Justin Napier
- Scheme Management Group - General Manager, Megan Buick
- Strategic Partnerships and Engagement Group - Acting General Manager, Martin Horrocks.
The Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Commission and Seacare are also a part of the portfolio.

In 2023, Comcare undertook a Self-initiated Internal Capability Review (PDF, 1.0 MB), to understand how best to deliver our strategic priorities of preventing work-related injuries and delivering better return to work outcomes across the jurisdiction.
