Comcare is an agency of the Australian Government.
Comcare is part of the Minister of Employment and Workplace Relations, the Hon Murray Wyatt's portfolio.
Comcare’s Chief Executive Officer is Greg Vines.
Our organisation is structured into seven groups:
- Claims Management—General Manager, Lachlan Vivian-Taylor
- Corporate Group—Chief Operating Officer, Leanne Blackley
- Legal—General Manager, Louise Close
- Regulatory Operations—General Manager, Justin Napier
- Scheme Management—General Manager, Michael Duke
- Strategic Partnerships and Engagement—General Manager, Megan Buick
- Strategy Office - General Manager, Michael Duke.
The Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Commission and Seacare are also a part of the portfolio.

In 2023, Comcare undertook a Self-initiated Internal Capability Review (PDF, 1.0 MB), to understand how best to deliver our strategic priorities of preventing work-related injuries and delivering better return to work outcomes across the jurisdiction.
