Conference Theme and Objectives

2010 National Conference

Improve, include and inspire workplace wellbeing.

Comcare’s 2010 National Conference concentrated on the critical health and wellbeing factors impacting your workforce. Helping injured people stay in work, or return them to work as soon as possible is known to be beneficial to their health. Therefore, the need for a more robust, flexible and collaborative work environment has never been greater.

Through system improvements, employee engagement and people development, speakers explored holistic approaches and best practice case studies to injury prevention and management to ensure organisational health and effective people management.

Industry experts explored topical issues surrounding safety, mental health and employee wellbeing. The event provided leaders at all levels with practical strategies and ideas to better-manage the health of their workforce.

The objectives of the conference were to:

  • examine contemporary issues and explore continuous improvement opportunities in OHS and injury management in mental health and wellbeing of Australian workers
  • raise awareness to recognise the importance of organisational health and effective people management as critical success factors for organisations managing workplace injuries
  • provide participants with significant professional development and networking opportunities
  • deliver relevant information, ideas and strategies to assist organisations to develop their capabilities and improve their health and safety practices.
