
Over the 12-month program, Graduates will participate in a six month temporary placement before moving into their permanent positon. The placements are aimed at developing and broadening your capabilities within Comcare and the Australian Public Service (APS).
Participants participating in Comcare's Graduate Development Program will attend a range of workshops, seminars and training activities to fulfil the requirements of the Diploma of Government - Management. The learning and development program will include:
Graduates are involved in other activities including a “corporate project”. The project topics are live agency issues and Graduates will work in small teams to research, present and provide recommendations to Comcare’s Executive.
Comcare's Graduates are provided with a number of support networks during the Graduate Development Program.
Mentors and buddies
Graduates will be allocated a “buddy”, a former graduate, who will be a friendly face during your first few months and be on hand to ask those ‘settling in’ questions.
In addition to buddies, each graduate is allocated a Mentor. Mentors are a member of Comcare’s Executive and provide support and guidance during the graduate year.
Graduate Coordinator
Comcare's Graduate Coordinator will provide on the ground support from relocating and your first day and your learning and development prorgam to the completion of the program and graduation day.
